Harriet & David are Married
What a Wedding
It Happened on May 24th 2025

Harriet Turner
Harriet was born and raised in Manchester. When she wasn’t at school in Altrincham, she spent most of her free time outdoors in the Mid-Wales countryside, often working with horses. Drawn to a career in dentistry, Harriet studied for five years in Newcastle before relocating her entire life to Cornwall.
There, she became the proud dog mom to a Labradoodle named Captain Ross Poldark, and the two quickly became inseparable. After settling in Porthleven, Harriet and Captain knew that Dave and his Aussies were the PAWFECT addition to their family!

David Furness
Also known as Dave, Dangerous Dave, Ponytail Dave, and Pirate Dave, David Furness is a Londoner who fulfilled a lifelong dream by moving to Cornwall. After spending years in the fast-paced London hospitality scene, Dave took a brief sabbatical and found himself mingling with stars on Cornish film sets. He then pursued his passion for the sea, becoming a skipper on the Helford River.
Life took a delightful turn with the addition of three Australian Shepherds, a fresh haircut, and a new career in the Coastguard. And then, Dave and Rumour met Harriet and Captain, and the rest is history!

Our Story
It wasn’t a dating app that brought us together; it was a dog agility class! In May 2022, Harriet and Dave both decided to start Dog Agility lessons. From the very first class, Rumour and Captain hit it off and quickly became best friends. It almost seemed like they made it their mission to bring Harriet and Dave together.
With a little nudge from a mutual friend, Dave finally gathered the courage to ask Harriet out for coffee when they bumped into each other at the Cadgwith Regatta. Of course, a dog walk was part of the date! Soon after, Harriet and Captain met the rest of Dave’s pack, Gibson and Hero. From then on, life was filled with dog walks, flowers, and the delightful chaos of four playful pups.
The story reached a beautiful new chapter when Dave proposed to Harriet during a dog walk along the stunning North Coast of Cornwall, at St Agnes. And now, ‘HERE WE ARE’! And come May 2025, ‘THERE WE”LL BE!’
